No, the heading doesn’t mean I’m going to write about greeting cards for the New Year.
My topic concerns Cards for the Year Ahead. These symbols suggest themes for the coming year.
Here we have a brand new, shiny year: what might it hold for us? Gifts or gloom? Success or sorrows? Anything could – and probably will – happen.
One thing I always do, at the beginning of the year, is work out the Year Card for our planet. What does this mean? By adding the numbers of the year, in this case: 2 + 0 +2 +2, total = 6/VI …. The Lovers card. So 2022 will be a card overseen by Card VI/Lovers.
What might the implications be? A year of universal love? Hardly likely, given the divisive nature of international affairs. For instance, look at the recent uproar over the Djokovic Aussie visa! Hardly a loving start, to say the least.
We can consider the qualities embodied by the card from The Cat People deck. It suggests partnerships, and love between couples. As you can see in the picture below.
The Wild Unknown deck gives an illustration of perfect harmony, creatures working in sync, where the opposing elements of Ying and Yang work together beautifully.
Yet another example, this time from the Voyager deck, shows Brancusi’s famous statue of The Lovers standing in a close embrace, in a garden. Suggestive of natural innocent love in a garden, Paradise perhaps.
Here are just a few examples of the many Tarot images of the Lovers card. But how might we apply these qualities to a global situation?
Maybe during the coming year we can actively work at promoting loving harmony, balanced decisions , and cultivating love in our own small, personal worlds. In view of the pandemic and climate change, to mention two major current issues, the world certainly needs every atom of loving harmony we can donate.

2+0+2+2 = 6 This number reflects balance, love, health, healing. It is about relationships, re-inventing yourself, about foundations and hope. If you put the work in, you reap the rewards. Establish your place in the world, be more self-reliant, feel more comfortable in yourself. Truth at the fore.
We are faced with a fast-moving year. Luck is on your side. Watch for all the small miracles that happen daily, right before your eyes. Open your heart to being more grateful.
Keep your boundaries in check. Sometimes the most difficult thing is sticking to our own boundaries! Be more vulnerable and true to who you are. As we move through these times of awakening to enlightenment, we eventually come to a place where we are being asked to be more and more authentic. Be who we came here to be.
See ‘failures’ as the way the universe is letting us know what we don’t want, or what we don’t want to continue with.
What do you value? Is it time? Is it peace? And so on, make a list of what you value and then give thought to this.
Be open to surprises along the way, see each one as an opportunity for adjustment or for new.
The word ‘extremes’ springs forth. Be both brave and wise through changes. Take time to sit and allow ideas to flow. Journal more, write more. Set bigger dreams, expand your thoughts in terms of how you see yourself. Take action daily towards those dreams. Use your talents and lean on your strengths. Believe in yourself, after all, you are the universe in motion so don’t see yourself as small. Trust that everything is working in your favour and watch that happening before your eyes. Trust that there is a much bigger purpose to it all and a much bigger picture at play. Decide to see your life as the adventure it is.
The year offers truth and secrets being revealed. Be clear about what you want to see in your life going forward. Let go of what no longer serves your greater good.
This is your moment. This is always your moment. Nothing on the outside can add to you unless you allow it. Nothing on the outside can take from you unless you allow it. You are the centre It’s your universe You have greater power than you imagine Be in a state of allowing Line up with all that is Your happiness depends on you Don’t wait to reach a certain goal or outcome to be happy. Decide to do it now. What you need is already available to you.
I know 2021 had some serious ups and downs for a lot of us. And it was brutal to most. I come with a message of hope for 2022.
The cards show a calming in the chaos that has been our lives for the last 2 years. They are showing new opportunities opening up for a lot of people in various ventures and many different areas of their lives.
I have read for so many over the last few days in regards to 2022 and most readings were about abundance, new ventures, new love, fewer delays and not of all hope and faith.
2022 is going to show us the best of itself.
Let’s all be open to receiving the great gifts and opportunities coming our way.
We have made it this far. The year of the ox is complete. That ox is bone tired of ploughing the field day after day, month after month. The seeds have been planted and we have entered the waiting time – which thank goodness will not be long, because our plans for the next forty years have been condensed to the next four years due to the events of the past two years.
What does the new year hold for us?
First, let us have an intuitive look. Tarot shows us the world – we have completed the entire cycle that we were in, and it is time to move on and be grateful. But what are we moving into? Surely it is the same world?
It does not look like it. Tarot is again guiding with the Wheel of Fortune, which has turned in favour of humanity.
I am being shown the word opportunities in different languages, different fonts and different colours. If I had to capture every version of the word as it is shown to me, I will need a ream of paper to capture everything and six more wristwatches to ensure that there is enough time – just for the capturing of the words, never mind the VERY long list of opportunities.
Will these opportunities open up to us? That is not a question – they have been presenting themselves for the past year at least, and those people who are not waiting for The Big Event to save them are already ahead of the curve. What is The Big Event? Is it med beds? A global financial reset? An honest politician leading the country? A saviour finally coming on the clouds? (if you continue to look up to the clouds, you may get a surprise because yes, there will be visitors coming through the clouds, but none of them are our saviour.
Then what is The Big Event? There is a simple answer, and you need to be ready to grab it. The answer is your very personal opportunity to shine your light on this world.
I can hear you say, “but I do not have money/time/anything else I need to grab my opportunity”. You are wrong. If you are reading this, you are one of the most powerful creators in the Universe. What are you going to do with your creativity? How will you combine your creativity with your opportunity? That is The Big Event.
Look inside yourself. Push the fear aside – there is no space for fear in the New World. Once you got rid of the fear, brace yourself for one miracle upon the next, and get on with the job of building your small part of the beautiful new world. Your kindred spirits are not just already busy with their tasks, but they are also waiting for you to do your share.
This is the year of the Water-Tiger.
Water is the element of creation and creativity. We are not only referring to oceans and rivers as the source of water. Did you think your tears from the past few years were in vain? Think again. You cried from grief because of what you thought you had lost. You cried because you did the cleansing that was needed. You cried with happiness because you got through it all. You shed some of the water in your beautiful body. You learnt and you are ready to move into a beautiful new future.
Do you know the legend about the tiger which is sometimes soft and cuddly like a cat, and other times ferocious like a cat? You are both. Yes, you can be soft and cuddly, because that will help you bring out the best in yourself while you grab your opportunities with both hands.
Once you have that opportunity, you can remain soft and cuddly and wait for whatever / whoever you believe will come and help you – and a year from now you will end up being disillusioned about the opportunities that have passed you by. Or you can become that ferocious tiger that will not allow anyone or anything to stand in its way. What do you choose?
I have many regular clients in different countries who get psychic readings for their own or business issues. Quite often I feel that I learn more from the readings than they do.
One of the lessons that I am often reminded of is that it is not a good idea to second guess Spirit. Of course, my readings are not always 100% accurate, because I am human, and I need to listen carefully and ensure I convey what I am given.
I had a client who was not happy in her job. People who get readings from me know that I do not ask many questions. I first connect and give everything I receive, and then I answer any remaining questions. I received an image of this client with a briefcase in one hand and a passport in the other hand, boarding a plane with a one-way ticket to her destination. It was as clear as day to me that she was going to accept a job in a different country, and that she was going to move from one country to another. It turned out that she was from Estonia and based in the UK, and ready to move to either Brazil or Peru – she had applied for jobs in both countries. After I had described to her the image that was given to me and confirmed that she would be leaving the UK and the reason would be her acceptance of a job in a different country, I asked if she had any questions. She had one: “Am I going to get a job in another country and move away from the UK?”.
All I can say is that maybe she was not ready to hear what I had told her.
Another client in England had a problem with damp in a corner house he owned. He had tried everything to get rid of the damp, and after two years was at the end of his tether. I told him that there was a leaking water pipe on the sidewalk that ran parallel with the railway line. He had two issues with this answer: the damp was on the opposite side of the house, and there was no railway line near the property. However, this client trusted and went away to investigate. He called me about two weeks later, quite excited. It turned out that there was a disused railway line that very few people knew about, around 200 yards from the house. He started digging, not on the sidewalk, but just inside the boundary. The water pipe he uncovered was Victorian and ran underneath the house to the other side of the house, where the damp was. He then got permission to dig up the sidewalk and fixed the leak within days. He told me a few months later that the issue had been completely resolved. He trusted and so did I.
I have a client in Scotland who, after over a decade of regular readings, still struggle with anything he receives that is not precise. My suspicion is that Spirit is by now teasing him and giving him precise information, but not on his timescale. He has an issue with an ancient property and some jiggery-pokery happening with his neighbour, who is hellbent on abusing an ancient law to get the property for next to nothing. In short, the current owner must prove access on an existing road for at least 20 years, or else the access road cannot be regarded as part of the property. My client could only prove access for about 17 years, and the crooked neighbour wanted to use this fact to devalue the property – to ensure that anyone can only access the huge property on foot. The neighbour even went as far as erecting a locked gate to prevent access, claiming that he had a right to do so.
About a year ago I told the client two things: Firstly, an important man will take up his case and that will result in publicity. Secondly, my client will sell the property to a buyer who will save the day by telling my client about a little-known law that will swing the situation in his favour.
Of course Mr Impatient wanted to know the exact surname of the important man and the new buyer, and on which exact dates each one will come knocking at his door, and as much detail about each one as possible, so that he can be prepared and “not miss anything”.
And then nothing happened for months on end. The important man was not the council employee in charge of the case, or the solicitor, or the Lord of the Manor. So, who was it? And when would this man appear?
The property was on the market, and no buyers came forward for months. When will the buyers come knocking on the door? What colour car do they drive? Will there be one or two people? What price will they offer?
Sorry – I could not tell – because it was not even revealed to me. Patience is a virtue.
About nine months after this information was revealed to me (and my client) I had an extremely excited client on the line. The “important man” was no less than the local Member of Parliament who got wind of the situation, called my client, and added the facts to his campaign for clean governance.
The buyer, who happened to discover in a social situation that the house was for sale, made an offer, and my client made a counteroffer for the buyer’s smaller house. This suited both parties to a tee and the paperwork flowed.
My client, being the honest man that he is, was upfront about the legal wrangle around the access road.
Oh, said the new buyer. There is a little-known law in Scotland which states that if anyone maintains the verge of an access road that borders on his neighbour’s property, as well as the access road, for ten years, then ownership of BOTH verges and the access road defaults to the party who can prove maintenance for ten years.
You cannot imagine how happy this man was once he had confirmed the existence of the law and his claim of ownership.
The bottom line is: we are not told everything, and what we hear is sometimes not what we want to hear. I am not for a moment saying that every psychic is accurate every time – we are human, and we must listen carefully. But patience is a virtue, and often a healthy dose of faith and common sense need to be added to any psychic reading.

Cleanse new crystals straightaway, particularly if you intend to use them for healing. Cleansing is not a physical process – rather it is a spiritual ritual. In esoteric terms, crystals absorb and retransmit all energies with which they come into contact. In healing, crystals become receptive to emotional energies.
Cleansing your crystal back to a neutral state ensures that accumulated negative energies are not passed on. This process also re-energises the crystal and ensures that it functions at its highest level.
Let your intuition be your guided: keep the intention in mind that you are clearing away all inappropriate energies and that you are working with purity of purpose.
The following are some different ways to cleanse, purify, re-energise and tune your crystals. Please note that as some crystals are sensitive to heat, light and/or water, not all methods will be suitable for all crystals.
Cleansing with Water – Cleanse your crystals by holding them under cool running water, such as an ordinary bathroom tap for several minutes. As you do so, think about a beautiful waterfall you have seen of visited. Or imagine the waves lapping over your crystal on a tropical beach. Note: Do not do this ritual with Halite, Selenite, Lapis Lazuli, Malachite or Turquoise as these crystals are sensitive to water.
Stone Clearing and Crystal Clusters– Some stones will clear the negative or unwanted energies from other stones. The best all round crystal for this is Clear Quartz. Place the stone to be cleared on a the “clearing” stone, and leave for 24 hours. Amethyst Bed can also be used- use a large piece, or bed, of Amethyst to cleanse several crystals at once. Amethyst is said to transmute lower energies into the higher frequencies of both the spiritual and ethereal worlds, thereby transforming whatever is placed on it. Leave your crystals on the Amethyst Bed for 24 hours.
Earth Burial – Crystal have come form the Earth. You can bury your crystals in the ground (do remember to mark where you have buried them!). The Earth has a natural magnetic quality which will draw off negativity. Leave your crystals in the Earth for 24 hours.
Resonating Sound – The vibrations of pure sound can quickly cleanse crystals. Purify your crystals with the resonating sound of a bell you love. You can cleanse and purify a roomful of crystals by ringing the bell above them, but the best way is to purify crystals one at a time. Perform this ritual for a few minutes. Another very effective and quick way to cleanse your crystals is by using a singing bowl.
Smudging – Smudge your crystals by burning a wedge of dried herbs and waving the smoke over and through them – proprietary “Smudge Sticks” are perfect for this ritual. You can use smudging to purify a roomful of crystals. Perform this ritual for a 5 minutes. incense can also be used.
Sunlight and Moonlight – Light is the essential currency of crystal healing so re-energise your water-cleansed crystals in sunlight and moonlight for 24 hours – the time of the Full Moon is perfect for this. Your crystals need a day of sunlight and a night of moonlight to re-energise.
It is important to tune your crystals directly after cleansing, purifying and dedicating. Remain in a relaxed alert state. Hold your crystal in one hand and place your other hand over it. Visualise an energy connection between you and the crystal (for example, a ray of white light). Decide on the crystal’s purpose and then say out loud “I intend this crystal to be an effective tool for … (e.g. healing, mediation, dream interpretation

I am often asked: What exactly is a Psychic? or a Clairvoyant? What does channeling mean?
I myself was not too sure what exactly they all meant; though knew they had something to do with Readers. So decided to do some research and this is what I found
Psychic Medium – someone who serves as an intermediary between the living and the dead
Clairvoyant – a person who is able to detect things that aren’t normally recognized by the senses
Channeling – a person who conveys thoughts or energy from a source believed to be outside the person’s body or conscious mind; specifically : one who speaks for nonphysical beings or spirits
Armed with this knowledge, it should now make it easier to visit Readers. Depending on what you feel comfortable with.
Yes, there are a lot of Readers out there, all professing to give you accurate answers. How do you know they are ‘good’? Or do they try to manipulate your life? Are you depend on a Reader?
Entertainment, curiosity or a need to get another opinion on a complicated life issue are a few of the many reasons for consulting Readers.
Readers often specialize in a particular field, and some are also trained as therapists or counselors with a Master of Divinity degree or a diploma in clinical social work.
Think about your reasons for using a Reader. Different issues require different types of Readers.
Decide what specialty you’d like your Reader to have. Specialties include palm or tarot card reading, angel readings, crossing over, intuitive readings, numerology, astrology and tea leaves. There is a wide field here – search until you find one that resonates with you
You should feel comfortable with the person you are asking to read for you.
Ask friends or family for recommendations. Often the best Readers don’t advertise; instead, they obtain clients by word-of-mouth.
Visit the Holistic Fayre in Bothasig, walk round and see which Reader you would resonate with. Chat or have a short session with him/her. If you resonate well, then make a proper booking at his/her house.
When interviewing a Reader, listen to your gut feelings. Avoid working with anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable or vulnerable or tells you anything that frightens you.
Similarly, avoid a Reader who makes outrageous claims that raise skepticism.
A good Reader is a professional with whom you should feel comfortable and safe.
Tips and Warning
If you leave a Reader feeling scared, frightened or depressed, never go back to this person and erase from your memory all that you were told by them!
If a Reader insists that they know better than you what is right for you, never go back!
If a Reader wants to sell you candles or prayers to improve your lot in life, to take away an evil curse, to bring you money or to find the perfect mate, never go back.
If a Reader insists that you should come back on a regular basis so that they can help you through a difficult time, be very careful.
If you feel the Reader doesn’t genuinely care about you, never go back!
Avoid any Reader who asks for money in exchange for removing a curse or a threat to your life or that of a loved one. This is a common scam used by unscrupulous con artists to intimidate people and gain wealth.
Finally, if you leave a reading without feeling empowered or without having gained a new perspective on your life and your choices, you might want to shop for a new Reader.
Most reputable Readers charge a flat rate per session or on an hourly basis
If you find yourself consulting a Reader more often than you’d like, consider if you’re addicted to the excitement and attention involved in a reading. Also consider if you’re avoiding something in your life. Readers are not a quick fix: What may be needed is a deeper exploration of the issues involved that only a trained therapist or counselor can provide.
